حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ مَا أَكَلَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى خِوَانٍ وَلَا فِي سُكُرُّجَةٍ وَلَا خُبِزَ لَهُ مُرَقَّقٌ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِقَتَادَةَ فَعَلَامَ كَانُوا يَأْكُلُونَ قَالَ عَلَى السُّفَرِ.
English Translation
Anas ibn Malik said: The Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) never ate from a dining table, nor from a small dish, nor was thin bread ever baked for him. Qatadah was asked: "Then what did they eat on?" He said: "On leather mats."
