حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ وَابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ الْمَعْنَى عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ سَأَلَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ امْرَأَةٍ تَرَى فِي مَنَامِهَا مَا يَرَى الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ رَأَتْ ذَلِكَ مِنْكُنَّ فَأَنْزَلَتْ فَلْتَغْتَسِلْ قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ أَوَ يَكُونُ ذَلِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ نَعَمْ مَاءُ الرَّجُلِ غَلِيظٌ أَبْيَضُ وَمَاءُ الْمَرْأَةِ أَصْفَرُ رَقِيقٌ فَأَيُّهُمَا سَبَقَ أَوْ عَلَا أَشْبَهَهُ الْوَلَدُ.
English Translation
Anas ibn Malik reported that Umm Sulaim asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) about a woman who sees in her dream what a man sees. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever among you women sees that and has a discharge, let her perform ghusl." Umm Salamah said: "Does that happen, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Yes. The fluid of a man is thick and white, and the fluid of a woman is yellow and thin. Whichever of them predominates or comes first, the child will resemble that parent."
