حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ أَنَسًا حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يَرْفَعُونَ أَبْصَارَهُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِمْ قَالَ فَاشْتَدَّ فِي ذَلِكَ حَتَّى قَالَ لَيَنْتَهُنَّ عَنْ ذَلِكَ أَوْ لَتُخْطَفَنَّ أَبْصَارُهُمْ.
English Translation
Yahya narrated to us: Sa'id narrated to us, from Qatadah: that Anas told them that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "What is the matter with people who raise their eyes during their prayer?" His words grew stern about that, until he said: "Let them stop that, or their sight will surely be snatched away."
