حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ أَنَسًا حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يَرْفَعُونَ أَبْصَارَهُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِمْ فَاشْتَدَّ قَوْلُهُ فِي ذَلِكَ حَتَّى قَالَ لَيَنْتَهُنَّ عَنْ ذَلِكَ أَوْ لَتُخْطَفَنَّ أَبْصَارُهُمْ.
English Translation
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us, from Sa'id, from Qatadah: that Anas told them the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "What is the matter with people who raise their eyes during their prayer?" His words grew stern about that, until he said: "Let them stop that, or their sight will surely be snatched away."
