English Translation

Ibn Abi Adiyy narrated to us from Humayd, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "You will not ask me about anything until the Day of Resurrection except that I will tell you." Abd Allah ibn Hudhafah said, "O Messenger of Allah, who is my father?" He said, "Your father is Hudhafah." His mother said, "What did you intend by this?" He said, "I intended to be at ease." He said: And it used to be said about him - Humayd said: I think this is from Anas - He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, became angry, so Umar said, "We are content with Allah as our Lord, Islam as our religion, and Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, as our Prophet; we seek refuge in Allah from the anger of Allah and the anger of His Messenger."
