English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq told us, Ma'mar told us, from Isma'il ibn Umayyah, from Abu Salamah ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was in spiritual retreat in the mosque, and he heard them raising their voices in recitation while he was in a small tent of his. He drew back the curtains and uncovered [himself] and said: "Indeed, each of you is confiding in his Lord, so let none of you harm another, and let none of you raise his voice over another in recitation" - or he said: "in prayer."
