حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ وَأَبُو عَامِرٍ قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَبُو عَامِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابَهُ حَلَّقُوا رُءُوسَهُمْ عَامَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ غَيْرَ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ وَأَبِي قَتَادَةَ فَاسْتَغْفَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ وَلِلْمُقَصِّرِينَ مَرَّةً حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى أَنَّ أَبَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ مِنْ بَنِي عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ قَالَ إِنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ.
English Translation
Rawh, Abd al-Samad, and Abu Amir told us, they said: Hisham ibn Abi Abdullah told us, from Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Abu Ibrahim - Abu Amir said: from Abu Ibrahim al-Ansari - from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and his companions shaved their heads in the year of al-Hudaybiya, except for Uthman ibn Affan and Abu Qatada. So the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, asked forgiveness for those who shaved their heads three times, and for those who merely shortened their hair once. Hasan ibn Musa told us, Shayban told us, from Yahya, that Abu Ibrahim al-Ansari, of Banu Abd al-Ashhal, said: "Indeed, Abu Sa'id said," and he mentioned the hadith.
