English Translation
Abu al-Mughira told us, Sa'id ibn Abd al-Aziz told us, who said: Atiyya ibn Qays told me, from one who related to him, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, informed us of the departure in the year of the Conquest, when two nights had passed of Ramadan. So we set out fasting until, when we reached al-Kadid, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered us to break our fast. So the people became, some fasting and some not fasting, until, when he reached the nearest camp facing the enemy, he ordered us to break the fast, and we all broke our fast."
