English Translation
Abu Nu'aym told us, Yunus told us, Abu al-Waddak Jabr ibn Nawf told me, who said: Abu Sa'id told me: "We took captives on the day of Hunayn, and we practiced coitus interruptus with them, seeking to ransom them back to their families. So some of us said to others: 'Are you doing this while the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, is among you? Go to him and ask him.' So we went to him, or we mentioned that to him, and he said: 'It is not from every act of intercourse that a child comes; when Allah decrees a matter, it happens.' And we passed by cooking pots that were boiling, and he said to us: 'What is this meat?' We said: 'The meat of donkeys.' He said to us: 'Domestic or wild?' We said to him: 'Rather, domestic.' He said to us: 'Then turn them over.'" He said: "So we turned them over, while we were hungry and craving it." He said: "And we used to be commanded to tie up the waterskins."
