حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمُتَعَالِ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُجَالِدٌ عَنْ أَبِي الْوَدَّاكِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ ذُكِرَ ابْنُ صَيَّادٍ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ إِنَّهُ يَزْعُمُ أَنَّهُ لَا يَمُرُّ بِشَيْءٍ إِلَّا كَلَّمَهُ.
English Translation
Abd al-Muta'al narrated to us: Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Umawi narrated to us: Mujalid narrated to us, from Abu al-Waddak, from Abu Sa'id, he said: Ibn Sayyad was mentioned in the presence of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and Umar said, "He claims that he never passes by anything without it speaking to him."
