English Translation
Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us: Fudayl — that is, Ibn Marzuq — narrated to us, from 'Atiyyah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, that a man asked him about washing the head. He said: "Three double-handfuls or three handfuls suffice you," then he joined his two hands together and said, "O Abu Sa'id, I am a man with much hair." He said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, had more hair than you, and it was more fragrant."
