حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ أَهْلَ الدَّرَجَاتِ الْعُلَى لَيَرَاهُمْ مَنْ تَحْتَهُمْ كَمَا تَرَوْنَ النَّجْمَ فِي أُفُقِ السَّمَاءِ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ مِنْهُمْ وَأَنْعَمَا.
English Translation
Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us: Sufyan informed us, from al-A'mash, from 'Atiyyah al-'Awfi, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, the people of the highest ranks will be seen by those below them just as you see a star on the horizon of the sky. And Abu Bakr and Umar are among them, and how excellent they are."
