حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو نَضْرَةَ أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنْ الْوَتْرِ فَقَالَ أَوْتِرُوا قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ.
English Translation
Affan narrated to us: Aban narrated to us: Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to us, he said: Abu Nadrah narrated to me that Abu Sa'id al-Khudri told him that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked about the Witr prayer, so he said: "Perform the Witr before dawn."
