English Translation
Yazid narrated to us, saying: Ibn Abi Dhi'b narrated to us, from Sa'id b. Khalid, who said: I entered upon Abu Salamah, and he brought us butter and a lump of curd, and a fly fell into the food, and Abu Salamah began to dip it in with his finger. I said, "O uncle, what are you doing?" He said, "Abu Sa'id al-Khudri narrated to me from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: 'One of the fly's two wings carries disease and the other carries its cure; so when it falls into food, submerge it, for it puts forward the disease and holds back the cure.'"
