English Translation
Yazid narrated to us, al-Mas'udi informed us, from Zayd al-Ammi, from Abu Nadrah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: In the time of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, a person was flogged for drinking wine with sandals, forty lashes. Then in the time of Umar, he was flogged with a lash in place of each sandal.
