حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيِّا بْنُ عَدِيٍّ أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ تَقُولُ إِنَّ رَحِمَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَنْفَعُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَاللَّهِ إِنَّ رَحِمِي لَمَوْصُولَةٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَإِنِّي أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ فَرَطٌ لَكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ.
English Translation
Zakariyya b. Adi narrated to us, Ubaydullah - meaning Ibn Amr - informed us, from Abdullah b. Muhammad b. Aqil, from Hamzah b. Abi Sa'id al-Khudri, from his father, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say on the pulpit: "What is the matter with some people who say that the kinship of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, will not benefit them on the Day of Resurrection? By Allah, my kinship is indeed joined in this world and the Hereafter, and I, O people, am a forerunner for you at the Pond."
