حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا دَخَلَ أَهْلُ الْجَنَّةِ الْجَنَّةَ وَأَهْلُ النَّارِ النَّارَ قَالَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ حَبَّةٍ مِنْ خَرْدَلٍ مِنْ إِيمَانٍ فَأَخْرِجُوهُ قَالَ فَيُخْرَجُونَ قَدْ امْتَحَشُوا وَعَادُوا فَحْمًا فَيُلْقَوْنَ فِي نَهَرٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ نَهَرُ الْحَيَاةِ فَيَنْبُتُونَ فِيهِ كَمَا تَنْبُتُ الْحِبَّةُ فِي حَمِيلِ السَّيْلِ أَوْ قَالَ فِي حَمِيلَةِ السَّيْلِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَمْ تَرَوْا أَنَّهَا تَنْبُتُ صَفْرَاءَ مُلْتَوِيَةً.
English Translation
Affan told us: Wuhayb told us: Amr ibn Yahya told us, from his father, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "When the people of Paradise enter Paradise and the people of the Fire enter the Fire, Allah, Blessed and Exalted, will say, 'Whoever has in his heart the weight of a mustard seed of faith, bring him out.'" He said: "So they will be brought out, having been charred and turned to coal, and they will be cast into a river called the River of Life, and they will sprout in it as a seed sprouts in the silt carried by a flood" - or he said, "in the debris of a flood." The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Have you not seen how it sprouts up yellow and twisted?"
