حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي السَّفَرِ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ مُرَّ عَلَى مَرْوَانَ بِجَنَازَةٍ فَلَمْ يَقُمْ قَالَ فَقَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُرَّ عَلَيْهِ بِجَنَازَةٍ فَقَامَ قَالَ فَقَامَ مَرْوَانُ.
English Translation
Wahb ibn Jarir narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Abi al-Safar, from al-Sha'bi, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: A funeral procession passed by Marwan, and he did not stand. Abu Sa'id said: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, had a funeral procession pass by him, and he stood." So Marwan stood.
