حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ وَهَاشِمٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ قَالَ هَاشِمٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ اشْتِمَالِ الصَّمَّاءِ وَأَنْ يَحْتَبِيَ الرَّجُلُ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ لَيْسَ عَلَى فَرْجِهِ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ.
English Translation
Yunus and Hashim narrated to us, they said: Layth narrated to us — Hashim said: Ibn Shihab told me — from Ubaydullah ibn Abdullah ibn Utbah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade wrapping oneself in a single garment in a way that leaves no room to free the arms, and forbade a man to sit hugging his knees in a single garment with nothing covering his private parts.
