English Translation
Mu'awiyah told us, Shayban told us, from Firas, from 'Atiyyah, from Abu Sa'id, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Whoever draws near to Allah a hand's span, Allah draws near to him a forearm's length; and whoever draws near to Him a forearm's length, Allah draws near to him a fathom; and whoever comes to Him walking, Allah comes to him running."
