English Translation
Hajjaj told us, Abu Isra'il told us, from 'Atiyyah al-'Awfi, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) found a slain man between two villages, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that the distance between them be measured. He said: And it is as if I can see the span of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he attributed responsibility to the nearer of the two villages.
