حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ تَكُونُ أُمَرَاءُ تَغْشَاهُمْ غَوَاشٍ أَوْ حَوَاشٍ مِنْ النَّاسِ يَظْلِمُونَ وَيَكْذِبُونَ فَمَنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَصَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَدْخُلْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَيُصَدِّقْهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَيُعِنْهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَهُوَ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ.
English Translation
Yahya told us, from Shu'bah: Qatadah told us, from Sulayman ibn Abi Sulayman, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: "There will be rulers surrounded by throngs, or hangers-on, from among the people, who commit injustice and lie. So whoever enters upon them, confirms their lies, and helps them in their injustice is not of me, and I am not of him. And whoever does not enter upon them, nor confirm their lies, nor help them in their injustice, is of me, and I am of him."
