حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ وَشُعْبَةُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا كَانُوا ثَلَاثَةً فَلْيَؤُمَّهُمْ أَحَدُهُمْ وَأَحَقُّهُمْ بِالْإِمَامَةِ أَقْرَؤُهُمْ.
English Translation
Yahya told us: Hisham and Shu'bah told us, they said: Qatadah told us, from Abu Nadrah, from Abu Sa'id, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "If they are three, let one of them lead them in prayer, and the most worthy of them to lead is the one most versed in recitation among them."
