English Translation

Yahya ibn Adam told us, Sharik told us, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Aqil, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The best rows of men are the front rows and the worst are the back rows; and the best rows of women are the back rows and the worst are the front rows." And he said: "O company of women, do not raise your heads when you prostrate before the men raise theirs, lest you see the private parts of the men because of the narrowness of their lower garments."
