Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ أَخْبَرَنَا وَرْقَاءُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ يَتَبَخْتَرُ فِي بُرْدَيْهِ قَدْ أَعْجَبَتْهُ نَفْسُهُ إِذْ خَسَفَ اللَّهُ بِهِ الْأَرْضَ فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِي بَطْنِهَا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ.
English Translation
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever has surplus riding animal, let him give it to one who has none. Whoever has surplus provisions, let him give it to one who has none.' He mentioned so many types of wealth that we thought none of us had any right to surplus.
