حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عِيسَى أَبُو بِشْرٍ الرَّاسِبِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَوَانَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِي وَصَعِدَتْ قَدَمَيَّ وَفِي نُسْخَةٍ وَضَعْتُ قَدَمَيَّ حَيْثُ تُوضَعُ أَقْدَامُ الْأَنْبِيَاءِ مِنْ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ فَعُرِضَ عَلَيَّ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ قَالَ فَإِذَا أَقْرَبُ النَّاسِ بِهِ شَبَهًا عُرْوَةُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ وَعُرِضَ عَلَيَّ مُوسَى فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ ضَرْبٌ مِنْ الرِّجَالِ كَأَنَّهُ مِنْ رِجَالِ شَنُوأَةَ وَعُرِضَ عَلَيَّ إِبْرَاهِيمُ قَالَ فَإِذَا أَقْرَبُ النَّاسِ شَبَهًا بِصَاحِبِكُمْ.
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'There are three to whom Allah will not speak on the Day of Resurrection, will not look at, and will not purify, and they will have a painful punishment: a man who has excess water in the desert and withholds it from a wayfarer; a man who sells a commodity to another after Asr (prayer) and swears by Allah that he paid such-and-such for it, and the buyer believes him though it is not so; and a man who gives allegiance to a leader only for worldly gain — if he gives him (what he wants), he is loyal to him, and if he does not, he is not.'
