حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا جُهَيْرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْعَبْدِيُّ عَنْ خِدَاشِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ فِي حَلْقَةٍ بِالْكُوفَةِ فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ يُحَدِّثُ قَالَ كُنَّا جُلُوسًا مَعَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ شَهِدَ عَلَى مُسْلِمٍ شَهَادَةً لَيْسَ لَهَا بِأَهْلٍ فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنْ النَّارِ.
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'If the people knew what is in the adhan and the first row, and they found no way to get to them except by drawing lots, they would draw lots.'
