حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوَّلُ زُمْرَةٍ تَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ أُمَّتِي عَلَى صُورَةِ الْقَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ الْبَدْرِ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ عَلَى أَحْسَنِ كَوْكَبٍ دُرِّيٍّ إِضَاءَةً فِي السَّمَاءِ فَقَامَ عُكَاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ مِنْهُمْ ثُمَّ قَامَ رَجُلٌ آخَرُ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مِنْهُمْ قَالَ قَدْ سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ.
English Translation
Yazid told us: Muhammad informed us, from Abu Salamah, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The first group to enter Paradise from my nation will be in the form of the moon on the night it is full; then those who follow them will be like the most brilliant radiant star in the sky." Ukashah b. Mihsan stood up and said: "O Messenger of Allah, ask Allah to make me among them." He said: "O Allah, make him among them." Then another man stood up and said: "O Messenger of Allah, ask Allah to make me among them." He said: "Ukashah has preceded you in that."
