English Translation
Ibn Numayr told us: Yahya told us, from Abu Salih, that he heard Abu Hurayrah say: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Were it not that I would burden my nation, or the people, I would have loved never to remain behind any expedition setting out in the path of Allah; but I do not find mounts for them, nor do they find that upon which they may be carried, so they go forth without me. I would love to fight in the path of Allah and be killed, then be brought back to life, then be killed, then be brought back to life, then be killed."
