حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ عَنْ خِلَاسٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَمَا رَجُلٌ شَابٌّ يَمْشِي فِي حُلَّةٍ يَتَبَخْتَرُ فِيهَا مُسْبِلًا إِزَارَهُ إِذْ بَلَعَتْهُ الْأَرْضُ فَهُوَ يَتَجَلْجَلُ فِيهَا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ.
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far told us: 'Awf told us, from Khilas, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "While a young man was walking in a fine garment, strutting proudly in it, dragging his waist-wrap [in arrogance], the earth suddenly swallowed him up, and he will be sinking down into it until the Day of Resurrection."
