853/1115-عن عبد الرحمن[هو ابن محمد بن زيد بن جدعان]قال: مرّ ابن عمر بنصراني، فسلم عليه، فردّ عليه، فأخبر أنه نصراني، فلما علم رجع فقال:"ردّ عليّ سلامي".
English Translation
Abd al-Rahman [ibn Muhammad ibn Zayd ibn Jad'an] said: Ibn Umar passed by a Christian and greeted him with peace. The Christian returned the greeting. When Ibn Umar was informed that the man was a Christian, he went back and said: 'Return my greeting to me.'
