Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطٌ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ لاَ يَقُولُ الْقَوْمُ خَلْفَ الإِمَامِ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ وَلَكِنْ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ .
English Translation
'Amir (al-Sha'bi) says: 'The people behind the imam should not say "Sami'Allahu liman hamidah (Allah hears the one who praises Him)" but rather should say "Rabbana lakal-hamd (Our Lord, to You belongs all praise)."'
Urdu Translation
عامر (شعبی) فرماتے ہیں: امام کے پیچھے لوگ «سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ» نہ کہیں بلکہ «رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ» کہیں۔
