حَدَّثَنَا قَطَنُ بْنُ نُسَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الأَعْرَجُ الْمَكِّيُّ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، وَذَكَرَ الإِفْكَ، قَالَتْ جَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَكَشَفَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ وَقَالَ " أَعُوذُ بِالسَّمِيعِ الْعَلِيمِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ { إِنَّ الَّذِينَ جَاءُوا بِالإِفْكِ عُصْبَةٌ مِنْكُمْ } " . الآيَةَ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ مُنْكَرٌ قَدْ رَوَى هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ جَمَاعَةٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ لَمْ يَذْكُرُوا هَذَا الْكَلاَمَ عَلَى هَذَا الشَّرْحِ وَأَخَافُ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَمْرُ الاِسْتِعَاذَةِ مِنْ كَلاَمِ حُمَيْدٍ .
English Translation
Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Aisha Siddiqah (may Allah be well pleased with her) narrates regarding the incident of the Ifk (the slander). She says: 'The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) sat down, uncovered his blessed face, and said: "A'udhu bis-Sami'il-'Alimi minash-Shaytanir-rajim" (I seek refuge in Allah, the All-Hearing, All-Knowing, from the accursed Shaytan) — "Innal-ladhina ja'u bil-ifki 'usbatun minkum" (Indeed, those who brought forth the slander are a group among you)' — (and recited the full verse). Abu Dawud said: This hadith is munkar (rejected). A number of people narrated this hadith from al-Zuhri and none of them mentioned the seeking of refuge in this manner. I fear that the mention of the isti'adhah (seeking refuge) is from Humayd's (the narrator's) own words.
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے واقعۂ اِفک (بہتان) کے ضمن میں مروی ہے، فرماتی ہیں: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم بیٹھے اور چہرۂ مبارک سے (کپڑا) ہٹایا اور فرمایا: «أَعُوذُ بِالسَّمِيعِ الْعَلِيمِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيم» (میں سمیع و علیم اللہ کی پناہ مانگتا ہوں شیطان مردود سے) — «إِنَّ الَّذِينَ جَاءُوا بِالْإِفْكِ عُصْبَةٌ مِنكُمْ» (بے شک جنہوں نے بہتان لگایا وہ تمہی میں سے ایک گروہ ہے)۔ (پوری آیت پڑھی)۔ ابوداود فرماتے ہیں: یہ حدیث منکر ہے، زہری سے یہ حدیث جماعت نے روایت کی ہے اور کسی نے اس طرح استعاذے کا ذکر نہیں کیا — مجھے خدشہ ہے کہ استعاذے کا معاملہ حُمید (راوی) کے اپنے کلام سے ہے۔
