حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ شَاذَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَيَّاشٌ الرَّقَّامُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا بُدَيْلٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شَهْرُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ، قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو مَالِكٍ الأَشْعَرِيُّ أَلاَ أُحَدِّثُكُمْ بِصَلاَةِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ فَأَقَامَ الصَّلاَةَ وَصَفَّ الرِّجَالَ وَصَفَّ خَلْفَهُمُ الْغِلْمَانَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى بِهِمْ فَذَكَرَ صَلاَتَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَكَذَا صَلاَةُ قَالَ عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى لاَ أَحْسَبُهُ إِلاَّ قَالَ " صَلاَةُ أُمَّتِي " .
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Malik al-Ash'ari (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: 'Shall I not tell you about the prayer of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)?' He said: 'He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) had the Iqamah called, arranged the men in a row and arranged the boys in a row behind them, then led them in prayer.' He then described his prayer and said: 'This is how prayer is (to be performed).' Abd al-A'la says: 'I think he said: "The prayer of my Ummah."'
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابومالک اشعری (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ) نے فرمایا: کیا میں تمہیں نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی نماز نہ بتاؤں؟ فرماتے ہیں: آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اقامت کہلوائی اور مردوں کی صف لگائی اور ان کے پیچھے لڑکوں کی صف لگائی، پھر ان کو نماز پڑھائی — پھر آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی نماز کا ذکر کیا — پھر فرمایا: اسی طرح نماز ہے — عبدالاعلیٰ فرماتے ہیں: میرا خیال ہے کہ انہوں نے فرمایا: میری امت کی نماز۔
