Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُثَنَّى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الذَّرَّاعُ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَزُورُ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ فَتُدْرِكُهُ الصَّلاَةُ أَحْيَانًا فَيُصَلِّي عَلَى بِسَاطٍ لَنَا وَهُوَ حَصِيرٌ نَنْضَحُهُ بِالْمَاءِ .
English Translation
Hadrat Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to visit (Hadrat) Umm Sulaym (may Allah be well pleased with her). Sometimes the time for prayer would arrive, and he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would pray on a mat of ours — it was a reed mat which we used to sprinkle with water.
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم (حضرت) اُمّ سلیم (رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا) کے ہاں تشریف لایا کرتے تھے۔ بعض اوقات نماز کا وقت آ جاتا تو ہماری ایک چٹائی پر نماز پڑھتے — وہ ایک بورئیے کی چٹائی تھی جسے ہم پانی سے چھڑکتے تھے۔
