Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، - يَعْنِي الْفَزَارِيَّ - عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُحَارِبِ بْنِ دِثَارٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ يَزِيدَ، يَقُولُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ حَدَّثَنِي الْبَرَاءُ، أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يُصَلُّونَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَإِذَا رَكَعَ رَكَعُوا وَإِذَا قَالَ " سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ " . لَمْ نَزَلْ قِيَامًا حَتَّى يَرَوْهُ قَدْ وَضَعَ جَبْهَتَهُ بِالأَرْضِ ثُمَّ يَتَّبِعُونَهُ صلى الله عليه وسلم .
English Translation
Hadrat al-Bara' (ibn Azib, may Allah be well pleased with them both) narrates: 'They (the Companions) used to pray with the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). When he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) bowed, they bowed; and when he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said "Sami' Allahu liman hamidah," they would remain standing until they saw that he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) had placed his blessed forehead on the ground — then they would follow him (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).'
Urdu Translation
حضرت براء (بن عازب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما) فرماتے ہیں: وہ لوگ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے ساتھ نماز پڑھتے۔ جب آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم رکوع فرماتے تو وہ رکوع کرتے، اور جب آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم «سمع اللہ لمن حمدہ» فرماتے تو وہ کھڑے ہی رہتے یہاں تک کہ دیکھ لیتے کہ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے اپنی پیشانیِ مبارک زمین پر رکھ لی ہے، پھر آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی پیروی کرتے۔
