حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ جُمَيْعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ خَلاَّدٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ وَرَقَةَ بِنْتِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَالأَوَّلُ أَتَمُّ قَالَ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَزُورُهَا فِي بَيْتِهَا وَجَعَلَ لَهَا مُؤَذِّنًا يُؤَذِّنُ لَهَا وَأَمَرَهَا أَنْ تَؤُمَّ أَهْلَ دَارِهَا . قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ فَأَنَا رَأَيْتُ مُؤَذِّنَهَا شَيْخًا كَبِيرًا .
English Translation
This same hadith is also narrated from Umm Waraqah bint Abdullah ibn al-Harith (through a different chain) — and the first version is more complete. This version states: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to visit her at her home, and he appointed a mu'adhdhin for her who would call the adhan for her, and he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) commanded her to lead the members of her household in prayer. Hadrat Abd al-Rahman says: 'I saw her mu'adhdhin — he was a very old man.'
Urdu Translation
اُمّ ورقہ بنت عبداللہ بن حارث سے بھی یہی حدیث مروی ہے (سابق روایت سے سند مختلف ہے) — اور پہلی روایت زیادہ مکمل ہے۔ اس میں یہ ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم ان کے گھر ان سے ملاقات کے لیے تشریف لایا کرتے تھے، اور ان کے لیے ایک مؤذن مقرر فرمایا جو ان کے لیے اذان دیتا، اور انہیں حکم دیا کہ وہ اپنے گھر والوں کی امامت کرائیں۔ عبدالرحمن فرماتے ہیں: میں نے ان کے مؤذن کو دیکھا — وہ ایک بہت بوڑھے شخص تھے۔
