Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ صُهَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلاَةُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَجِيٌّ فِي جَانِبِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَمَا قَامَ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ حَتَّى نَامَ الْقَوْمُ .
English Translation
Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: 'The Iqamah was called while the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was in private conversation (with someone) in a corner of the mosque. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) did not stand for the prayer until the people had dozed off (i.e., began to feel sleepy).'
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: اقامت کہی گئی اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم مسجد کے ایک کونے میں کسی سے سرگوشی فرما رہے تھے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نماز کے لیے نہیں اٹھے یہاں تک کہ لوگ سو گئے (یعنی اونگھنے لگے)۔
