حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ كَانَ بِلاَلٌ يُؤَذِّنُ ثُمَّ يُمْهِلُ فَإِذَا رَأَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَدْ خَرَجَ أَقَامَ الصَّلاَةَ .
English Translation
Hadrat Jabir ibn Samurah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: Hadrat 'Bilal (may Allah be well pleased with him) would call the Adhan and then wait. When he saw the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) come out, he would call the Iqamah.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: حضرت بلال رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ اذان دیتے پھر مہلت دیتے (یعنی انتظار کرتے)۔ جب دیکھتے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم باہر تشریف لے آئے ہیں تو اقامت کہتے۔
