Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَهَنَّادٌ، - الْمَعْنَى - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، بِإِسْنَادِهِ بِهَذَا قَالَ مَرَّ عَلَىَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَنَحْنُ نُعَالِجُ خُصًّا لَنَا وَهَى فَقَالَ " مَا هَذَا " . فَقُلْنَا خُصٌّ لَنَا وَهَى فَنَحْنُ نُصْلِحُهُ . فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَا أَرَى الأَمْرَ إِلاَّ أَعْجَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ " .
English Translation
Hadrat This hadith is narrated through another chain with the same meaning. He (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) passed by me while we were repairing a hut of ours that had become dilapidated. He stated: What is this? We submitted: A hut of ours that has become dilapidated, and we are repairing it. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: I do not think the matter (i.e., the Hour) is anything but more imminent than that.
Urdu Translation
اسی حدیث کی دوسری سند سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم میرے پاس سے گزرے اور ہم اپنی ایک ٹوٹی ہوئی جھونپڑی کی مرمت کر رہے تھے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: یہ کیا ہے؟ ہم نے عرض کیا: ہماری ایک جھونپڑی ٹوٹ گئی ہے جس کی ہم مرمت کر رہے ہیں۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: مجھے نہیں لگتا کہ معاملہ (قیامت) اس سے بھی جلدی آنے والا ہے۔
