حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ مَرْوَانَ الرَّقِّيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعَافَى، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، - وَهَذَا حَدِيثُهُ - عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَدْ أَذْهَبَ عَنْكُمْ عُبِّيَّةَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَفَخْرَهَا بِالآبَاءِ مُؤْمِنٌ تَقِيٌّ وَفَاجِرٌ شَقِيٌّ أَنْتُمْ بَنُو آدَمَ وَآدَمُ مِنْ تُرَابٍ لَيَدَعَنَّ رِجَالٌ فَخْرَهُمْ بِأَقْوَامٍ إِنَّمَا هُمْ فَحْمٌ مِنْ فَحْمِ جَهَنَّمَ أَوْ لَيَكُونُنَّ أَهْوَنَ عَلَى اللَّهِ مِنَ الْجِعْلاَنِ الَّتِي تَدْفَعُ بِأَنْفِهَا النَّتْنَ " .
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Indeed, Allah the Mighty and Majestic has removed from you the arrogance of the Age of Ignorance and its pride in forefathers. Now there is either a God-fearing believer or a wretched sinner. You are all children of Adam, and Adam was created from dust. Let men certainly cease boasting about their peoples — who are but coals of Hellfire — or they will be more contemptible in the sight of Allah than the dung beetles that push filth with their noses.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: بے شک اللہ عز وجل نے تم سے جاہلیت کا غرور اور آباء و اجداد پر فخر ختم کر دیا ہے۔ اب یا تو مومنِ متقی ہے یا فاجرِ شقی۔ تم سب آدم کی اولاد ہو اور آدم مٹی سے بنے تھے۔ لوگ ضرور اپنی قوموں پر فخر کرنا چھوڑ دیں جو دوزخ کے کوئلوں میں سے کوئلے ہیں، ورنہ وہ اللہ تعالیٰ کے نزدیک ان گوبریلوں سے بھی زیادہ ذلیل ہوں گے جو اپنی ناک سے گندگی دھکیلتے ہیں۔
