حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ : إِذَا حَدَّثْتُكُمْ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَدِيثًا فَلأَنْ أَخِرَّ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ أَحَبُّ إِلَىَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَكْذِبَ عَلَيْهِ وَإِذَا حَدَّثْتُكُمْ فِيمَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ فَإِنَّمَا الْحَرْبُ خُدْعَةٌ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ : " يَأْتِي فِي آخِرِ الزَّمَانِ قَوْمٌ حُدَثَاءُ الأَسْنَانِ سُفَهَاءُ الأَحْلاَمِ، يَقُولُونَ مِنْ قَوْلِ خَيْرِ الْبَرِيَّةِ يَمْرُقُونَ مِنَ الإِسْلاَمِ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ، لاَ يُجَاوِزُ إِيمَانُهُمْ حَنَاجِرَهُمْ، فَأَيْنَمَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْ، فَإِنَّ قَتْلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ لِمَنْ قَتَلَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
English Translation
Hadrat 'Ali al-Murtada (may Allah ennoble his countenance) said: When I narrate to you a hadith from the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), falling from the sky is dearer to me than lying about him. But when I speak to you about what is between me and you, then war is deception (i.e., stratagems are permissible in it). I heard the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: In the last era, there shall come a people — young in age, foolish in mind — who will speak the words of the best of creation (i.e., the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)) (without understanding them). They shall depart from Islam as an arrow passes through game. Their faith shall not pass beyond their throats — wherever you find them, slay them, for there shall be reward on the Day of Resurrection for the one who slays them.
Urdu Translation
حضرت علی المرتضیٰ کرّم اللہ تعالیٰ وجہہ الکریم فرماتے ہیں: جب میں تمہیں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی حدیث سناؤں تو آسمان سے گر پڑنا مجھے اس سے زیادہ محبوب ہے کہ میں آپ پر جھوٹ بولوں، اور جب میں تم سے اپنے اور تمہارے درمیان کی بات کروں تو (جان لو کہ) جنگ دھوکہ ہے (یعنی اس میں چالبازی جائز ہے)۔ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا: آخری زمانے میں ایک قوم آئے گی — نوجوان، بے عقل — وہ بہترین مخلوق (یعنی نبی کریم) کی بات کہیں گے (لیکن اس کا مطلب نہیں سمجھیں گے)، وہ اسلام سے ایسے نکلیں گے جیسے تیر شکار سے نکل جاتا ہے، ان کا ایمان ان کے حلق سے نیچے نہیں اترتا — جہاں بھی تم انہیں پاؤ انہیں قتل کرو، کیونکہ ان کو قتل کرنے والے کے لیے قیامت کے دن اجر ہے۔
