حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، وَسُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " إِنَّ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَى لاَ يَصْبُغُونَ فَخَالِفُوهُمْ " .
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: The Jews and Christians do not dye (their beards), so act differently from them (i.e. apply dye).
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے مرفوعاً مروی ہے کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: یہود و نصاریٰ (اپنی داڑھیاں) نہیں رنگتے، لہٰذا تم ان کی مخالفت کرو (یعنی خضاب لگاؤ)۔
