حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم اسْتَعَطَ .
English Translation
Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both) states that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) had himself cupped on the crown of his blessed head while in the state of ihram, due to a migraine that he was experiencing. Abu Dawud (upon him be mercy) said: This tradition has been narrated by Hadrat Abu Sa'id and Abdullah ibn Tamim, both from Hadrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be well pleased with them both), as a marfu' (elevated) tradition from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے احرام کی حالت میں اپنے سر مبارک کے اوپری حصے پر پچھنا لگوایا، یہ ایک شقیقہ (آدھے سر کا درد) کی وجہ سے تھا جسے آپ محسوس فرما رہے تھے۔ حضرت ابوداؤد رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کہتے ہیں: اس حدیث کو حضرت ابوسعید اور عبداللہ بن تمیم دونوں نے حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے متعلق مرفوعاً روایت کیا ہے۔
