حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُهَاجِرٍ - عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ أَسْمَاءَ، سَأَلَتِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِمَعْنَاهُ قَالَ " فِرْصَةً مُمَسَّكَةً " . قَالَتْ كَيْفَ أَتَطَهَّرُ بِهَا قَالَ " سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ تَطَهَّرِي بِهَا وَاسْتَتِرِي بِثَوْبٍ " . وَزَادَ وَسَأَلَتْهُ عَنِ الْغُسْلِ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ فَقَالَ " تَأْخُذِينَ مَاءَكِ فَتَطَهَّرِينَ أَحْسَنَ الطُّهُورِ وَأَبْلَغَهُ ثُمَّ تَصُبِّينَ عَلَى رَأْسِكِ الْمَاءَ ثُمَّ تَدْلُكِينَهُ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ شُئُونَ رَأْسِكِ ثُمَّ تُفِيضِينَ عَلَيْكِ الْمَاءَ " . قَالَ وَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ نِعْمَ النِّسَاءُ نِسَاءُ الأَنْصَارِ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَمْنَعُهُنَّ الْحَيَاءُ أَنْ يَسْأَلْنَ عَنِ الدِّينِ وَيَتَفَقَّهْنَ فِيهِ .
English Translation
Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat Aisha Siddiqah (may Allah be well pleased with her) narrates that Hadrat Asma asked the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) the same question. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: '(Take) a piece of cloth with musk.' She asked: 'How do I purify myself with it?' He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah)! Purify yourself with it and cover yourself with a garment.' This version also adds: She asked him (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) about the bath of janabah, and he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'Take your water and purify yourself well and thoroughly. Then pour water over your head and rub it well until it reaches the scalp. Then pour water over yourself.' And Hadrat Aisha (may Allah be well pleased with her) said: 'How excellent are the women of the Ansar! Modesty did not prevent them from asking about and gaining understanding of the religion.'
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ حضرت اسماء نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے اسی مفہوم کا سوال کیا۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: مشک لگا ہوا کپڑے کا ٹکڑا (لو)۔ اسماء نے عرض کیا: اس سے کیسے پاکی حاصل کروں؟ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: سبحان اللہ! اس سے پاکی حاصل کرو اور کپڑے سے پردہ کرو۔ اور (اس روایت میں) یہ اضافہ ہے: انہوں نے آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے غسلِ جنابت کے بارے میں بھی پوچھا تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: پانی لو اور اچھی طرح بہترین پاکی حاصل کرو، پھر اپنے سر پر پانی ڈالو اور اسے اچھی طرح مَلو یہاں تک کہ کھوپڑی تک پانی پہنچ جائے، پھر اپنے اوپر پانی بہا لو۔ اور حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے فرمایا: انصار کی عورتیں کیا ہی اچھی عورتیں ہیں! حیا (شرم) انہیں دین کا مسئلہ پوچھنے اور سمجھنے سے نہیں روکتی تھی۔
