حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَدِمْنَا خَيْبَرَ فَلَمَّا فَتَحَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى الْحِصْنَ ذُكِرَ لَهُ جَمَالُ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ حُيَىٍّ وَقَدْ قُتِلَ زَوْجُهَا وَكَانَتْ عَرُوسًا فَاصْطَفَاهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِنَفْسِهِ فَخَرَجَ بِهَا حَتَّى بَلَغْنَا سُدَّ الصَّهْبَاءِ حَلَّتْ فَبَنَى بِهَا .
English Translation
Hadrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrates: We arrived at Khaybar. When Allah the Almighty opened the fortress, the beauty of Hadrat Safiyyah bint Huyayy was mentioned to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) — her husband had been killed and she was newly married. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) chose her for himself. Then he departed with her until they reached Sadd al-Sahba', where her waiting period was completed, and he consummated the marriage with her.
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: ہم خیبر پہنچے۔ جب اللہ تعالیٰ نے قلعہ فتح کر دیا تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین صفیہ بنت حُیَی کے حسن کا ذکر کیا گیا — ان کے شوہر مارے گئے تھے اور وہ نئی بیاہی ہوئی تھیں — رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے انہیں اپنے لیے چن لیا۔ پھر آپ ان کو لے کر روانہ ہوئے یہاں تک کہ سدّ الصہباء پہنچے تو ان کی عدت پوری ہوئی، پس آپ نے ان سے رخصتی فرمائی۔
