Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، أَنَّ خَالِدَ بْنَ الْحَارِثِ، حَدَّثَهُمْ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ، - يَعْنِي الْمُعَلِّمَ - عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً، أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ إِنِّي فَقِيرٌ لَيْسَ لِي شَىْءٌ وَلِي يَتِيمٌ . قَالَ فَقَالَ " كُلْ مِنْ مَالِ يَتِيمِكَ غَيْرَ مُسْرِفٍ وَلاَ مُبَادِرٍ وَلاَ مُتَأَثِّلٍ " .
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As (may Allah be well pleased with them both) that a man came to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and submitted: I am poor and have nothing, but I have an orphan in my care. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Eat from the property of your orphan without being extravagant, without hastening (to consume it before the orphan grows up), and without taking it as your own wealth.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن حضرت عمرو بن العاص رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ ایک شخص نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی بارگاہ میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کیا: میں فقیر ہوں، میرے پاس کچھ نہیں ہے، البتہ ایک یتیم میرے پاس ہے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اپنے یتیم کے مال سے کھاؤ لیکن فضول خرچی نہ کرنا، نہ جلد بازی دکھانا (کہ بڑا ہو جائے تو حساب نہ مانگے)، اور نہ اس کے مال سے اپنا مال بڑھانا۔
