Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لَوْلاَ أَنَّ الْكِلاَبَ أُمَّةٌ مِنَ الأُمَمِ لأَمَرْتُ بِقَتْلِهَا فَاقْتُلُوا مِنْهَا الأَسْوَدَ الْبَهِيمَ " .
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Abdullah ibn Mughaffal (may Allah be well pleased with him) that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Were dogs not a community among the communities (of Allah's creation), I would have commanded that they all be killed. So kill the pure black ones among them.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن مغفّل رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: اگر یہ بات نہ ہوتی کہ کتے بھی اللہ کی مخلوقات میں سے ایک امت ہیں تو میں ان سب کو مار ڈالنے کا حکم دے دیتا، لہٰذا ان میں سے خالص سیاہ کتوں کو مار ڈالو۔
