Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ، قَالَ كَانَ شِعَارُ الْمُهَاجِرِينَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَشِعَارُ الأَنْصَارِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ .
English Translation
Hadrat Samurah ibn Jundub (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated: The war cry (shi'ar) of the Emigrants (Muhajirun) was "Hadrat Abdullah" and the war cry of the Helpers (Ansar) was "Hadrat Abd al-Rahman."
Urdu Translation
حضرت سمرہ بن جندب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: مہاجرین کا شعار (جنگی نعرہ) "عبد اللہ" تھا اور انصار کا شعار "عبد الرحمن" تھا۔
