Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُلَىِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي قَيْسٍ، مَوْلَى عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّ فَصْلَ مَا بَيْنَ صِيَامِنَا وَصِيَامِ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ أَكْلَةُ السَّحَرِ " .
English Translation
Hadrat Amr ibn al-As (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: "The distinction between our fasting and the fasting of the People of the Book is the pre-dawn meal (suhur)."
Urdu Translation
حضرت عمرو بن العاص رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسولِ کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: "ہمارے روزوں اور اہلِ کتاب کے روزوں میں فرق سحری کا کھانا ہے۔"
